This workhorse distillery on the bank of the River Clyde in Glasgow produces a high-quality grain whisky that is very popular among blenders, and as such is rarely seen as a single grain. The whisky has been drawn from a single cask that was laid down in September 1987, and bottled 35 years later in November 2022 at 46%. The result is a beautifully mature grain whisky, with a smooth and sweet character of orange jelly, buttermilk, whipped cream, vanilla cream and cake batter.
