This bundle brings together the two pillars of Suntory’s single malt portfolio: the “forest” whisky of Hakushu and the “birthplace of Japanese whisky,” Yamazaki. Both expressions are aged for 12 years and bottled at 43% ABV, offering a perfect side-by-side comparison of Japan’s most iconic distillery styles.
What’s in the Bundle?
Hakushu 12 Years Old
Founded in 1973 by Suntory, the Hakushu distillery is located deep in the forest at the foot of Mount Kaikoma. This 12-year-old single malt captures the fresh, verdant essence of its surroundings and is presented in its distinctive green and yellow box. It is a refined expression that showcases the unique mountain environment where it matured.
Yamazaki 12 Years Old
Produced at Japan’s first malt whisky distillery, built in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii, this single malt is known as the birthplace of Japanese whisky. The spirit matures for 12 years in a combination of American, Spanish, and Japanese oak casks to create a complex and harmonious profile. This is the newer release, presented in a classy black box.
