‘Furudaru Shiage’ means ‘old barrel finish’. This 1991 Suntory whisky is filtered through bamboo charcoal. Too bad they didn’t age it in mizunara wood, because that would have made this the most Japanese whisky we’d have on our website. There is debate on the internet wether this is a single malt, but as far as we are concerned, this is a blend of Suntory whiskies from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries.
