Takamaka 3 Years Old 2018 Seychelles Pure Single Rum is a limited-edition pot distilled rum from the Trois Frères distillery on the Seychelles, bottled for the acclaimed Habitation Velier range. The rum was distilled in 2018 and matured in two French oak barrels, #31 and #52. It was bottled in 2021 at a barrel proof of 60.8%. Takamaka 3 Years Old 2018 Seychelles Pure Single Rum is a rich and flavourful young rum. The nose is refined with aromas of freshly cut hay, nutmeg and guava. The palate is full-bodied with notes of grapefruit, vine peach, hyacinth and beeswax. Habitation Velier is a range of 100% pot still rums from Velier and La Maison du Whisky. The two renowned independent bottlers started their collaboration in 2017 in order to create innovative products with their combined expertise. Trois Frères is a family-owned rum distillery on Mahé, the main island of the East African island country Seychelles. It was founded in 2002 by the brothers Bernard and Richard d’Offay. The distillery produces their rum using local sugar cane and natural spring water. The premium Takamaka rums capture the unique and undiscovered flavours of the Seychelles.
