Talisker 25 Years Old 2004 is a limited-edition Talisker single malt, released in 2004 as part of the Diageo Special Releases. The whisky aged for a quarter century in refill sherry casks and is bottled at a cask strength of 57.8%. On the nose, Talisker 25 Years Old 2004 has aromas of seaweed, old oranges, smoke and some chalk. The whisky has a full and generous palate. An initial sweetness develops into acid, salty and mineral notes. Flavours of wite pepper and chilli are balanced by delicious shortbread and syrup. The finish is drying and slightly bitter, with a warming effect.
