ABOUT THE CIGAR MALT (MORTLACH) 1997 CHIEFTAIN’S

It is a public secret that there is Mortlach in this The Cigar Malt 1997, bottled by Chieftain’s. It’s not on the label though, so let’s pretend that we don’t know. This vintage 1990 single malt aged for 20 years in two sherry butts that gave out 1205 bottles in total. With it’s Chieftain’s range, bottler Ian McLeod has selected casks from great distilleries (some closed, some mothballed) that a true connoisseur will appreciate.
