The Lakes Hope is an English single malt from The Lakes Distillery, bottled in their prestigious Quatrefoil Collection. The distillery is named after the Lakes District in Cumbria County, which was listed by UNESCO because of its unique combination of mountain sights, lakes and poetry. Paul Curry, son of Arran Distillery co-founder Harold Currie, is the founder of The Lakes Distillery. Whisky maker Dhavall Gandhi is in charge of master blending the malts from the distillery into perfection. The Lakes Hope is the second release in the range, after Faith. It matured exclusively in first-fill Spanish oak Oloroso and PX hogsheads, so a sherried whisky for sure. It’s a spicy whisky that is bottled at a strong 59%. Only 1000 bottles were released. Please note: it takes up two spaces in a parcel.
