The London Distillery Company 109 Cask Edition is a single malt whiskey from The London Distillery Company, the first whisky distillery in London in 109 years. The whiskey was distilled in September 2015 and matured in American oak for 5 years. It was bottled in 2020 at a cask strength of 61.8%. This cask yielded only 28 bottles. In 1807, the civil engineer Ralph Dodd intended to establish a company called The London Distillery Company. However, due to a legal dispute the business was disbanded before any whisky was ever produced. The London Distillery Company was revived in 2012 by Darren Rook and Nick Taylor, making it the first whisky distillery in London since the Lea Valley Distillery, which closed in 1903. The London Distillery Company was acquired by The British Honey Company in early 2020.
