The Senator is a rye whiskey, sourced from MGP and bottled by Proof and Wood Ventures. The whiskey matured for at least 6 years, the length of a senator’s term of office, and was bottled in the summer of 2020 at a barrel proof of 118.64. Proof and Wood Ventures is an independent bottler based in Connecticut. Several of their expressions are inspired by the American political system, with special releases celebrating the presidential elections.
