2014 marks the first time the Singleton of Glendullan has been released as part of Diageo’s Special Release. The whisky was distilled in 1976 and matured in refill European oak casks for 38 years. It was bottled in 2014 at 59.8% ABV. Glendullan is a distillery in Dufftown, in the heart of Speyside. It was founded by the blending company William Williams & Sons in 1897, during the golden age of Scotch whisky. In 1972, a new distillery was constructed next to the old one. They worked in tandem until 1985, when the original distillery closed. Only 3756 bottles of The Singleton of Glendullan 2014 Special Release (38 Years Old) have been released.
