Tom Moore is one of Barton’s historical brands, named after the distillery’s founder. This bottle of Tom Moore bourbon was bottled in the 1970s at 86 proof and exported for the Italian market. In 1879, Tom Moore established his distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. Initially it was simply called the ‘Tom Moore Distillery’. It was renamed the Barton Distillery in 1944 after Oscar Getz had taken over the company. Since 2009, the distillery is known as The Barton 1792 Distillery, named after the year Kentucky joined the United States.
