Very Old Barton 101 Months is a rare vintage bourbon produced at the Barton distillery in Bardstown, currently known as the Barton 1792 Distillery. The bourbon aged for 101 months (about 8,5 years) and is bottled at 86 proof. The Barton 1792 Distillery is the oldest fully-operational distillery in Bardstown. It was founded in 1879 and was initially called the Tom Moore Distillery. It was renamed the Barton Distillery in 1944 after Oscar Getz had taken over the company. Since 2009, the distillery is known as The Barton 1792 Distillery, named after the year Kentucky joined the United States.
