Waterford Ballykllcavan Edition 1.1 is the very exciting and very new irish kid on the block. The brand is set up by the former Bruichladdich distillery manager: someone who knows his malt! Together with its brother Waterford Bannow Island Edition 1.1, it showcases what happens if you make a whiskey from barley that was harvested on one single farm. Ballykilcavan Edition 1.1 was distilled in 2016 from Taberna barley that was grown by David Walsh-Kemmis on his Ballykilcavan farm. Walsh-Kemmis is the thirteenth generation since 1639 to farm at Ballykilcavan. It comes in a neat blue bottle and an even neater shiny box.
