Back in 1992, Austin Nichols, the founder of Wild Turkey, released 1855 Reserve to overseas markets. Like its domestic relative, Wild Turkey Rare Breed, 1855 Reserve is a blend of 6, 8, and 12-year-old bourbon whiskeys at barrel proof. Except for the first batch, both Rare Breed and 1855 Reserve share batch numbers and proof over time. This bottle, batch W-T-10-96, has become a highly sought after bourbon. A rare high proof Wild Turkey that is rarely seen. Please note: the original cardboard box shows signs of age and wear.
