Wild Turkey 8 Years Old 101 Proof Japanese Export is a vintage bottling of the classic 8 year old, 101 proof bourbon. Bottled in 1995 for the Japanese market. The Wild Turkey name comes from the 1940s, when Thomas McCarthy, an Austin Nichols executive, went on a hunting trip with a few friends. He brought along a few warehouse samples for the trip and his friends absolutely loved it. And what were they hunting? Wild Turkeys of course. They kept on asking for more of that Wild Turkey Bourbon, and an icon was born. This bottle comes in an original cardboard box with a great big turkey on the front.
