Wild Turkey 81 Proof is a smooth and approachable Wild Turkey bourbon, first crafted in 2011 by Eddie Russell to be a mellower counterpart to the classic Wild Turkey 101. The bourbon is made with Wild Turkey’s famous high-rye mash bill, and aged for 6 to 8 years in hand-selected American oak barrels with #4 alligator char. Wild Turkey 81 Proof offers notes of sweet vanilla, caramel, honey, orange, pear and spice, and is rounded off by a lingering finish with hints of soft oak and dried fruit.
