Wild Turkey 86.8 Proof French Export 1992 is an interesting bottle from the ‘90s. In 1992, Wild Turkey removed the age statement from its flagship 8-year-old bourbon. The expression was replaced with the short-lived (and slightly deceptively named) Wild Turkey Old No. 8 Brand. This odd bird, though, is neither. Produced for the French market, the bourbon carries no age statement (not even a sneaky ‘8’ on the label!) and is bottled at a lower proof of 86.8. A great collector’s item, and a tasty dusty bourbon for Wild Turkey fans.
