Replacing it was the Old No. 8 Brand, because why be clear when you can confuse customers with a big ‘8’ on your label? The folks at Wild Turkey seemed to realize this too after a couple of years, and the Old No. 8 Brand was discontinued in 1999. Despite its short existence, the Old No. 8 Brand left its mark on the whiskey industry and is highly sought-after nowadays. This Wild Turkey Old No. 8 Brand was bottled in 1997 at 86.8 proof and exported for the Italian market.
