Wild Turkey is supposed to have got its name during a hunting trip in 1940. An executive from the company that was distributing the as-yet unnamed bourbon went out hunting wild turkeys with a few buddies and brought along some warehouse samples. Now normally we’d say bourbon and shooting do not go well together but on this occasion, the hunters loved the drink so much they kept asking for more of that ‘Wild Turkey Bourbon’ and an icon was born. This Wild Turkey Tradition 1995 is an old bottling, bottled at 101 proof. Please note that the box and the label show small marks of wear and tear.
