Jimmy Russell is a bourbon legend. He began working at the Wild Turkey Distillery (then known as Ripy) in September 1954. Learning all the aspects of bourbon production, he was eventually made Master Distiller in the 1960s. Jimmy introduced a number of beloved expressions including Rare Breed, Kentucky Spirit and Russell’s Reserve, together with his son and distilling partner Eddie. Jimmy Russell is now the longest-tenured, active spirits Master Distiller in the world! His passion and commitment to his craft have made Wild Turkey what it is today. The 50th Anniversary bottle is a limited-edition celebratory bottling, released in 2004 for Jimmy Russell’s 50th anniversary at Wild Turkey. The bottle comes with a tube signed by the one and only Jimmy Russell himself. Only 5500 bottles were released. This rich and full-bodied bourbon is accompanied by notes of spices, nuts, vanilla and caramel.
