Willett 8 Years Old LMDW Foundations Cask #18632 is a rare family estate bottled single barrel bourbon from Willett, released for La Maison du Whisky’s Foundations collection, which highlights the architectural heritage of the spirit industry. The Willett Distillery was built at the end of Prohibition on agricultural land in southern Louisville, not far from the family farm. In 2012, the Willett-Kulsveen family undertook major renovation work to bring the distillery back to life after 32 years of closure. The bourbon aged for 8 years in a hand-selected white oak barrel and was bottled in 2024 at 59.1%. The result is a refined and complex expression with vibrant notes of citrus, beeswax, vanilla, liquorice, cinnamon, new oak, almonds, camphor and gentian. Only 203 bottles of Willett 8 Years Old LMDW Foundations Cask #18632 have been released.
