This bottle of William Larue Weller bourbon was released in 2017 as part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC), a series of highly-collectible limited releases from the renowned Buffalo Trace distillery. The bourbon was distilled in the winter of 2005 using a mash bill of Kentucky corn and North Dakota wheat and malted barley. It aged for 12 years in warehouses C and I and is bottled at a barrel proof of 128.2 The brand is named after the famous 19th century distiller William Larue Weller, who was the first to distill straight bourbon from wheat instead of rye
