The Wolfburn distillery was revived in 2013, and its maturing whisky has now reached the 10-year mark. Wolfburn 10 Years Old is the distillery’s first core range expression with an age statement. The single malt matured for 10 years in specially selected Oloroso sherry hogsheads, resulting in a softly sherried nose with sweet aromas of figs and raisins. The depth of flavour shines through on the palate, with bold chocolate, dark fruit, caramel and vanilla, overlaid with gentle hints of nutmeg and smoke. Silky tannins make for a beautifully textured finish. A great core range addition to celebrate this milestone in Wolfburn’s history.
