When people say Kentucky, the first thing that comes to mind is…bourbon! And the history of bourbon runs through Woodford Reserve’s veins. The site of their distillery is a National Historic Landmark where distilling first occurred in 1812. The Woodford Reserve Label Batch 0003 is created from 51% malt and aged in new charred oak barrels giving it an ample and complex flavour with a nuttiness throughout. The nose contains light caramel and chocolate notes with apple, dried fruit and tropical fruit. The oak flavours come through on the palate along with a darker chocolate, caramel and nut character. The finish has delicate hints of chocolate and malt.
