Yamazakura The First is the inaugural single malt release from the Asaka distillery in Japan, owned by Sasanokawa Shuzo. The whisky matured for 3 years and was bottled in 2019 at 50% ABV. The Sasanokawa Shuzo Company was founded in 1765 and initially produced sake and shochu. It started producing whisky in 1946, and in 2016 the new Asaka Distillery opened. Yamazakura comes from the Japanese ‘Yama’, meaning mountain, and ‘Sakura’, referring to the well-known Japanese cherry trees. Only 1500 bottles of Yamazakura The First have been released. Please note: due to the size of the box and it’s fragile nature, we ship the box and bottle separately. This way we can make sure you will receive it in perfect condition. Yamazakura The First takes two spaces in a parcel.

Safe packing
