Old Pulteney Distillery

Old Pulteney is one of the most northern distilleries in the Scottish Highlands. It was established in 1826 and named after Sir William Pulteney, who invested in many building plans in Scotland, including Old Pulteney’s hometown: Pulteneytown. It closed in 1930 due to local prohibition laws, but the distillery reopened in 1951 when the laws were finally abolished. The distillery’s whisky is inspired by its seaside location.
