Tobermory Distillery

Tobermory is one of the oldest active distilleries in Scotland. It was founded in 1798 as the Ledaig distillery, meaning ‘safe haven’ in Gaelic. The distillery closed in 1930 due to Prohibition in the United States and only reopened in 1972, when it received its current name. To this day, Tobermory is the only distillery on the Isle of Mull.
