Very Olde St. Nick Distillery

Very Olde St. Nick is a curious brand in the whiskey world. Myths about the origins of the brand have taken on a life of their own, so much that it is now seen as a cult brand among whiskey lovers. Only small numbers are released each time, mostly from unconfirmed sources. Here is what we do know: Olde St Nick was founded in California by Marci Palatella in the 1980s. She sourced premium bourbon and bottled it under her own labels. Initially the whiskey was mainly produced for export to Japan. Most of the bourbon probably came from Heaven Hill. In 2018, Allied Lomar, the owner of the Olde St Nick’s brand, opened the Preservation Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky.
