Worthy Park Estate Distillery

The Worthy Park Estate is both the oldest and youngest distillery in Jamaica. It was founded in 1670, and the earliest record of rum production comes from 1741. The distillery stopped making rum in 1960 and continued to operate as a processor of sugar cane. In 2005, Gordon Clarke, a fourth-generation member of the family owning Worthy Park, commissioned a new state-of-the-art distillery that has the capability to produce a wide variety of rums. After a 45-year silence, the Worthy Park Estate started producing rum again.
