This 25-year-old single malt is the third release in Glenmorangie’s Vintage Collection Bond House No. 1. It was distilled in 1993 and first aged in ex-bourbon casks for ten years. After that it had a uniquely long finish of 15 years in Bual Madeira casks, before it got bottled at 43% ABV in 2018. The Glenmorangie 1993 Grand Vintage Malt was distilled in the same year that the distillery established a sensory laboratory, allowing the distillery’s master distiller, Bill Lumsden, to closely follow the whisky’s development. The Bond House No. 1 collection is named after Glenmorangie’s largest 19th-century bonded warehouse, which in 1990 got converted into a still house. It’s a highly exclusive whisky, which the exclusive gift box and decanter also show. Please note: due to the size of the beautiful packaging, it takes up two spaces in a parcel.
