Annandale Distillery

The original Annandale Distillery was founded in 1836 by George Donald. It was operated by Johnnie Walker from 1893 until it closed down in 1924. The distillery was bought by the Annandale Distillery Company in 2007, led by Professor David Thomson and his wife Teresa Church. Construction of the new Annandale Distillery started in 2011. The two old warehouses were restored to continue their original function. The distillery’s other buildings were largely reconstructed. The first casks were distilled in November 2014, together with the opening of the Annandale Visitor Centre.
