The Bunnahabhain distillery on Islay was founded in 1881. ‘Bunnahabhain’ is Gaelic for ‘foot of the river’, referring to the Margadale river, whose spring water the distillery uses. Bunnahabhain The Kinship is a 30-year-old single malt that was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2020 at a cask strength of 45.5%. It is part of The Kinship 2020 series from independent bottler Hunter Laing, commemorating this year’s Fèis Ìle whisky festival, which was moved online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Only 451 bottles of Bunnahabhain 1990 The Kinship 2020 (30 Years Old) were released.
